 Rod, my man,
forgive frenchie's ignorance of what a tub -o- lard means but i'm sure it probably means that i seem to talk more than build.! I gotta admit that since i found this great place, i kind of took the opportunity to make for lost time trying to find info on the net and to laugh and share the little i have with you bunch of great guitar builders. If that meant that i'm full of **it for winning that bid, i'll say yes as i got some complementary wood to build along with it. And if you thought i could take a joke, well you were also plenty right so maybe i do deserve this after all!
So now, before i become a grizzly grizzled lard serging bear too soon, i guess i'll head down to my shop and start buildin'! Serge P.s., i'll be checking your number of posts very closely chum!

French, I thought you were Canadian. I'm getting confused. Serge, a tub of lard, is a dubious prize, given only in someone's imagination to another person. So, it's like getting a stick of gum for a prize, or a mild compliment. Of course Rod won't be here today, so I'll have to help you with the interpretation thing. Without the newbies asking questions, the rest of us would have nothing to talk about, except getting old and of course, taxes.

Yikes! Bruce, that is cool. I have been to most of those places, including the castle. Here is a picture of yours truely at the entrance to the village of Kinnaird. I had this shot taken complete with menacing scowl next to the admonishment to drive safely so that I could give it to my son to hang from the mirror of his car. See that little rental car? The steering wheel is on the wrong side. That's REAL trouble.  |

By the way, In Scotland when they mention Bruce, they say THE Bruce. There is a sort of reverence there for that name. |
